Working on paper allows for both freedom and mistakes—each mark carries a sense of immediacy. My style is rooted in observational drawing, refined through years of sketching from life.
I especially enjoy drawing people on the tube with a fountain pen. The pace forces quick decisions, adding energy and urgency to the lines. Staying present sharpens my eye.
I also sketch characters and anthropomorphised animals, drawing on observation to capture details like hair, posture, and clothing. My background in animation has trained me to keep characters consistent in appearance, style, and movement.
